Samarpan is a is a not for profit voluntary organization based in Jharkhand, working for over two decades in Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh to uphold child rights and holistic community development. It began as a campaign to bring children out of illegal mica mining in Koderma and into education. What started as a youth-led movement evolved into a formally registered organization focused on education, health, nutrition, livelihoods, and entitlements for marginalized communities. Samarpan has implemented impactful initiatives in child rights, women’s empowerment, water conservation, and sustainable livelihoods. Its work is grounded in principles of Gram Sabha-led self-governance, dignity, and indigenous wisdom, ensuring equal participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups. Guided by community-based action and collaboration with government and civil society, Samarpan continues to strive for a just and joyful life for all, while preserving natural and cultural heritage.

What We Do
Samarpan works at the grassroots to empower marginalized communities through integrated development initiatives. Our work also strengthens local governance, protects child rights, and promotes natural resource management.
